Atlanta Fine Arts is a student-founded, volunteer-run non-profit devoted to keeping Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam alive and thriving in the Atlanta community — through concerts, camps, and a stage for every artist, at every level.
Who We Are
Founded in 2022 by a group of young Carnatic musicians in the Atlanta area, Atlanta Fine Arts (AFA) is a non-profit organization with a single purpose: to give Indian classical arts the platform they deserve in our community. We organize the annual Thyagaraja Aradhana — Atlanta's most beloved Carnatic music gathering, drawing over 360 attendees each year — as well as intimate Chamber Concerts that give emerging and established artists alike a stage to perform, connect, and grow. From week-long summer camps for children to large-scale seasonal celebrations like Chithirai Kalotsavam, everything AFA does is organized entirely by volunteers who believe in the power of this art form to bring people together.

The Founders
Lambert High School
A Carnatic vocalist training since age 5, Chinmay is guided primarily by his father and guru Sri Prashanth Krishnamoorthy, and also trains under Sri Ramakrishnan Murthy. An accomplished pianist at the Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10 and a percussionist in his school's band, he is one of AFA's founding members and a driving force behind its growth in Atlanta.
Lambert High School
Sahithya began her training in Carnatic vocal at age 3 under Vidushi Sriranjani Santhanagopalan and in Bharatanatyam at age 4 — bringing a rare dual grounding in both Indian classical music and dance. A passionate public speaker and debater, she brings that same articulate energy to everything AFA does.
South Forsyth High School
Shashank has been a Carnatic vocal student under Vidwan Ajay Namboodiri since age 7, and has performed at multiple AFA Chamber Concerts and large-scale events. He also sings in his school's Chamber Choir and plays flute in the Symphonic Band — reflecting the broad musical commitment he brings to AFA's mission.
